Your software development partner
Identity Software is a small software development company based in the Sunshine Coast, Australia. From ecommerce and API integration to custom Apps or SAAS products, we are a competent and reliable delivery partner for your next software project.
About Me
I'm a full stack developer and analyst, especially experienced in identity systems and cloud infrastructure. I'm experienced in all stages of a projects lifecycle, from facilitating workshops and planning to deployment and maintenance.

I've spent over a decade working in world leading consultancies and global tech companies, for high end banking, retail and government sector clients. Now I'm bringing this experience to your project, with direct accountability and at a significantly lower rate than what it would cost you if going through a larger agency or consulting company.

I founded Identity Software in 2024 and have been serving small-medium clients directly since then.

Agile Development Process
There's a lot that goes into a successful software project. I am experienced in all stages of this lifecycle and can collaborate with you to ensure that you go in with understanding and that we produce software with genuine value to your business.
1.Initial Consultation
Contact me for a free initial consultation, on site or over the phone/zoom to talk about your idea, requirements and project. From there we can work out the details of what we can achieve together.
2. High level estimates & project brief
Working together, we can understand the scope of the project and technology required. This will allow me to create a high level estimate and allow you to decide whether you want to move forwards.
3. Further refinement (if needed)
I worked for years at a world leading software consultancy ThoughtWorks, I can apply the techniques I learned there to break down the project with you, including producing designs
4. Project Delivery
You can track project delivery live with regular meetings and showcases of progress. Any necessary adjustments can be made along the way.
5. Launch
I can host your project on my managed cloud infrastructure, or collaborate with your team to deploy your software. I will be on hand to perform any last minute tweaks.
6. Support and Maitainance
I will provide support and production monitoring as required. You or your developers will have full access and ownership of the delivered code. There will be no lock in, but there will be full support.

Why not work with an offshore developer
Delivering a software project requires a competent, reliable and trustworthy developer with excellent communication. You may find that offshore, but you may also find that the developer turns into a different person after the invoice is paid and you discover the software is riddled with bugs. Most of my current clients have had bad experiences with offshore developers already and are now relieved to have found a competent and reliable Australian software developer.
Why not just work with an Agency?
Working with an independent developer like myself gives you increased accountability and cost saving compared to working with an agency. I've written a post about this which you might find interesting. If your project is a little too big, I also have a network of highly talented developers who I can vouch for. If it is much too big for me, I can recommend an agency or two to work with.
Do you have skills with x technology?
Please reach out to me and ask! I've worked with many different programming languages and technologies during my career and can generally pick up anything else that's required quite quickly.
What do you charge?
I generally quote a project and estimate based on a rate of A$150 an hour. We can negotiate a fixed price or a time and materials contract depending on how much uncertainty there is on your specific project.
